While living in New Zealand, we discovered Edmonds cookbook. Edmond's is the New Zealand equivalent of "The Joy of Cooking". Below is a link to their recipe on Cooking.com. I add a cup of raisins to the flour mix just before putting in the milk. I also sprinkle a small amount of granulated sugar on top of the scones after brushing them with milk and before baking.
